The following dyno runs are from a pristine low mile '94 964 RS America on a Dynojet 248x. Engine is completely stock with the exception of a Fabspeed sport cat, a Fabspeed sport muffler, a modified cut open airbox cover, and our 964 performance chip. Baseline dyno with 91 octane California pump gas, this car produces 237 hp at the rear wheels with the stock chip (blue curves). With our retuned performance chip, the car now dynos 251 hp at the rear wheels (red curves). Calculating for a 15% transmission loss, this engine produces 296 HP at the crank, a 17 hp improvement at the engine, along with a substantial 8-17 ft-lb torque increase through the rpm range.

RSA dyno

Below is from a pristine 1990 964 Targa, except modified with a primary muffler bypass pipe, cat bypass, and modifed cut open airbox. Baselined dynoed with the stock chip the motor produces a max power of 236.4 at the rear wheels (blue curves). With the stock chip note how lean the car runs through most of the RPM range at full throttle in the 14s. After dyno retuning with AFR optimization, on 91 octane pump gas, this 964 makes 255.2 HP at the rear wheels, a 17.8 HP and 17 ft-lb torque increase at the wheels. Factoring a 15% transmission loss, power increase at the motor is +20.9 HP and +20 ft-lbs torque. New power from the motor is 300 hp at the crank, making for not only a more powerful but safer and reliable motor.
